Guaranteed value is available only through select promotions, and only when you apply a promo code at checkout. This article explains what the guarantee covers, how to apply a code, and what to do if something doesn't look right.
What the guarantee means
When you apply a guaranteed value promo code to an eligible pack before purchasing, that pack gets a minimum buyback offer based on the price of the pack, for example a guaranteed $50 buyback. Whatever card you pull, the buyback offer on that card will be at least the guaranteed amount.
A code is required. The guarantee only applies if the code was applied at checkout. It can't be added after a purchase is complete, and packs bought without a code don't carry a guarantee.
It's a floor, not a bonus. If your card is worth more than the guarantee, your buyback offer reflects the card's actual value. The guarantee only comes into play when a pull comes in below it.
It's not cash back or a refund. To receive the guaranteed amount, you accept the buyback offer, which means selling the card back to us. If you choose to keep the card, the guarantee isn't paid out separately.
It requires a purchase. The guarantee covers the specific pack purchased with the code, not other packs you own or buy later.
The normal buyback window applies. Buyback offers expire 7 days after your pull, including guaranteed offers.
How to apply a code
On the web: Open an eligible pack and find Enter promo code on the pack page, before checkout. Enter the code exactly as given, with no extra spaces, and confirm the discount or risk free label appears before you pay.
In the mobile app: Choose your pack, tap Buy Now, then tap Enter promo code on the next screen.
A code must be applied before you complete your purchase. It can't be added to an order afterward.
Troubleshooting
The code won't apply. The most common reasons are:
The pack is above the tier or price the code covers. Try a basic or starter pack.
You've already used this code, or your account doesn't meet the code's eligibility requirements.
The code has expired or the promotion has ended.
You're paying with points. Codes can't be combined with points purchases.
My purchase failed. A failed purchase doesn't use up your code. It may take a short time before the code is available again.
My buyback offer is lower than the guarantee. If you applied a guaranteed value code at checkout and your buyback offer is below the guaranteed amount, please contact our support team.
